Subcutaneous Myoepithelial Carcinoma of the Ankle

Introduction: Myoepithelial carcinomas are rare malignant neoplasms, which known to arise from the salivary glands or other organs. Case Presentation: Here, we present a case of myoepithelial carcinoma in 64-year-old woman, presenting clinic with painful ankle mass for past three years. Ultrasonography showed 1 cm, iso- hypoechoic on medial malleolus right ankle. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) revealed well-defined iso-signal intensity T1-weighted images and high signal T2-weighted images. On enhanced image, homogenous enhancement. In diffusion-weighted b-value, lesion restriction low apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC). Surgical removal was performed, pathological analysis carcinoma. Conclusion: extrasalivary is very uncommon phenomenon. Despite its rarity, it should be considered as differential diagnosis when soft tissue shows potential radiological findings.
